Transforming from ELT to eLD is a reflective and practical course designed for English Language Teaching (ELT) professionals who are curious about digital learning, educational technology, and career opportunities beyond the traditional classroom.
Based on the course creator's own journey from English language teacher to eLearning Developer, the course combines personal experience, practical advice, and guided reflection to help participants explore their own professional development goals and potential career pathways.
Through eight learner-centred sections, participants will examine where they are in their teaching careers, explore opportunities beyond ELT, gain an understanding of eLearning Development, identify transferable skills, develop new competencies, build practical experience, prepare professional application materials, and develop confidence for interviews and career transitions.

Each section begins with a real-world story and reflection from the course creator's own transition journey before inviting participants to reflect on their own experiences, goals, and next steps. Throughout the course, learners will engage with practical activities, discussions, and self-reflection tasks designed to help them develop a clearer understanding of both the opportunities and challenges involved in moving from ELT into eLearning Development.
By the end of the course, participants will have a personalised action plan for their own professional development and a greater understanding of how their existing teaching expertise can be applied in digital learning environments.
